They are compatible with all filter types except diatomaceous earth filters. These innovative, dual-action tablets work by neutralizing charges and promoting flocculation, effectively removing insoluble iron and manganese compounds from the water. Made from non-toxic, water-soluble ingredients, FerriTabs contain no caustic or corrosive chemicals, alum, or any agents that could alter your pool’s pH or chlorine levels.

Usage Instructions
Before applying FerriTabs, ensure your pool water’s pH is within the optimal range of 7.2 to 7.6. Adjust chlorine levels as necessary—chlorine does not interfere with the tablets’ effectiveness against iron and manganese. Confirm that your pool filter is functioning properly and is turned on. Place one tablet into the skimmer basket for every 3,000 gallons of water. For larger pools with multiple skimmers, distribute the tablets evenly across all skimmers. To achieve the best results, add the tablets gradually over several hours while keeping the filter running. After treatment, thoroughly backwash the filter within 18-24 hours to remove the neutralized iron particles. For pools with severe iron problems, repeat the treatment and backwashing process after 24-48 hours. To prevent recurrence, add one tablet per 3,000 gallons of water whenever you top up or add fresh water to your pool. Note: FerriTabs do not remove existing iron stains from pool surfaces. For stain removal, pre-treat with an ascorbic acid-based stain remover before using FerriTabs to address iron in the water itself, ensuring comprehensive cleaning and stain prevention.
