How Can I Better Organize My Life?

Here are the steps that helped me regain control of my life and can help you too:

1. Discover Your Why

Understanding your purpose is crucial. Identify your mission statement—the core reason that drives you to take action in your life. This doesn’t need to be overly complex; it can be as simple as wanting to create a happy home or to inspire others. Keep in mind that your “why” may evolve over time as you progress through different life stages.

If you’re unsure how to articulate your Why, consider reflecting on the most significant aspects of your life. What motivates you? What are you passionate about? Here are a few examples of prominent figures’ mission statements:

  • Maya Angelou: “My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”
  • Walt Disney: “Make people happy.”
  • Oprah Winfrey: “To be a teacher and to be known for inspiring my students to be more than they thought they could be.”

Mental Clutter
