Week 11 of The Deep Clean Challenge: Tackle That Annoying Task

Welcome to Week 11 of The Deep Clean Challenge!

This week marks another exciting chapter in our journey towards a spotless and organized home. Last week’s project was a delightful two-part endeavor. Wasn’t that smudge hunt incredibly satisfying? It’s quite astonishing how much a simple task can transform a space, especially when children are involved. The sheer amount of hidden grime that gets overlooked can really dim the vibe of a room.

While it may not be as exhilarating as unboxing a new Brita filter or setting up fresh contacts, it was a win nonetheless. Celebrating the small victories is essential; they fuel our motivation to tackle the tougher challenges ahead. So before we dive into this week’s mission of addressing that pesky issue in our home, take a moment to reflect on all that you’ve accomplished so far. Be proud of your efforts! Do not berate yourself with thoughts of “I could have done better.” Remember, you did your best at that moment. You can always revisit and refine later.

If you’re new to our community, here’s a quick recap of what we’ve tackled in The Deep Clean Challenge thus far:

  • Cleared away clutter
  • Deep cleaned the kitchen
  • Revitalized the bedroom
  • Sanitized the bathroom
  • Freshened up the living room
  • Organized the dining room/area
  • Spruced up the entryway
  • Cleared out the refrigerator
  • Streamlined our digital life
  • Eliminated those pesky smudges

Are You Ready for This Week’s Challenge?

Have you noticed a pattern in our weekly challenges? Each time, we explore why this task is important, what we need to accomplish it, and how we can go about it. This week, we’re taking a slightly different approach. Since we all have unique circumstances, we can’t provide specific instructions, but we’re here to cheer you on as you tackle your individual project.

It’s time to FIX THAT ANNOYING THING IN YOUR HOME.

For instance, I, Heather, plan to tackle a long-overdue project: I want to finally run the ethernet cable that has cluttered our hallway for the past three years through the attic. However, with my son’s graduation party happening this Saturday at my house, I may just end up cleaning in preparation for that event instead. And you know what? That’s perfectly okay. Life often throws us curveballs, and it’s important to give ourselves the grace to adapt.

I would love to hear about your projects in the comments below. What are you focusing on this week? Let’s inspire each other!

Are you ready? Let’s get started!
