- Hot Oil Treatment — Warm 2 tablespoons of jojoba oil and 2 tablespoons of honey in the microwave or on the stovetop until they are just warm and viscous (not hot). Add 3 drops of peppermint essential oil and 2 drops of rosemary essential oil. Mix well, then apply to your scalp and hair. Let it sit for 20 minutes before rinsing out.

Well-hydrated hair is stronger and less prone to breakage, promoting healthy growth. Tip: If you live in a humid climate, consider omitting the glycerin, as it may attract excess moisture, leading to frizz.
Step 2: Incorporate Your Favorite Conditioner
Add 1 tablespoon of your preferred conditioner. This powerhouse ingredient is essential for your homemade detangler. It enhances slip, making it easier to detangle even the most unruly hair while simultaneously smoothing and conditioning your locks for lasting silkiness and shine.
Step 3: Fill with Distilled Water
Fill the remainder of the 4 oz bottle with distilled water, leaving about an inch of space at the top to accommodate the spray top. Tip: If you don’t have distilled water, boiled and cooled filtered water is a suitable alternative.

In total, add 24 drops of the following essential oils: 6 drops of lavender, 6 drops of rosemary, 6 drops of peppermint, and 6 drops of tea tree oil. While the essential oils are optional, I prefer using these four because of their numerous benefits for hair health and growth.

- Peppermint: Known for strengthening hair roots and reducing loss, peppermint oil also increases blood flow, rejuvenating hair follicles and promoting growth.
- Tea Tree: With its antifungal properties, tea tree oil minimizes dandruff and prevents buildup on hair, encouraging healthy growth and reducing shedding.
Step 5: Mix Your Detangler
Secure the spray top onto the bottle and shake well to combine all the ingredients.
Step 6: Optional Labeling
You can enhance your spray bottle by adding a free printable label. Tip: Wiping the bottle with rubbing alcohol will help the label adhere better. You can print the label on full-sheet label paper or use regular printer paper attached with clear packing tape for durability. To do this, print, cut out the label, and place it face down on a piece of tape that extends at least an inch beyond the label on both ends. Align it on your bottle, starting from the center to avoid air bubbles.
