-
Superfine Sugar
This sugar has smaller granules compared to regular baking sugar, making it ideal for gently exfoliating your lips. It effectively removes dead skin cells, leaving your lips feeling soft and smooth.
-
White Chocolate Chips
These sweet and creamy morsels add a delightful scent to the lip scrub, making it even more enjoyable to use.
-
Vanilla Extract
With its warm and comforting aroma, vanilla enhances the flavors of honey and white chocolate, creating a harmonious blend.
-
Tangerine Essential Oil
This oil is known for improving blood flow and circulation, which can lead to rosy, healthy-looking lips. Rich in vitamin C, it helps protect and heal the skin while promoting a sense of happiness.
-
Honey
A natural humectant, honey helps to rehydrate your lips, leaving them feeling smooth and moisturized.
-
Avocado Oil
This nourishing oil helps heal chapped lips and replenishes dry skin. It may even aid in boosting collagen production!
How to Make Lip Scrub
Step 1: Add 2 Tablespoons of Superfine Sugar to a Small Bowl
Tip: While regular table sugar can be used, superfine sugar is preferred due to its smaller granules, which exfoliate better than larger sugar crystals.
Step 2: Grind 12-15 White Chocolate Chips into a Fine Powder
Tip: Place the chocolate chips in the freezer for a few minutes before grinding to keep them cold and prevent melting. Use a coffee or spice grinder and pulse on and off to achieve a fine powder.
Tip: If you don’t have a grinder, you can chop the chocolate very finely with a knife.
Step 3: Combine the Chocolate Powder with the Sugar in the Bowl
Step 4: Add 10-12 Drops of Vanilla Extract (Approximately 1/8 Teaspoon)
Step 5: Incorporate 6 Drops of Tangerine Essential Oil
Tip: If tangerine oil isn’t available, you can substitute it with sweet orange essential oil or another citrus option, ensuring it’s labeled safe for internal use since it will be applied on your lips.
Step 6: Mix in 1/2 Teaspoon of Honey
Step 7: Add 2 Teaspoons of Avocado Oil
Tip: If you don’t have avocado oil, you can replace it with another light edible oil, such as apricot kernel oil or sweet almond oil, ensuring it’s safe for consumption.
Step 8: Stir Until All Ingredients Are Well Combined
Step 9: Transfer the Mixture into a Small Jar
Yield: This recipe produces about 3 tablespoons of lip scrub.
Tip: Use jars that are safe for essential oils, either glass jars or PET plastic options.
Step 10: Label Your Jar (Click Here for a Free Printable Label)
Tip: You can print the label on full-sheet label paper or regular printer paper, attaching it with packing tape for durability.
Tip: For better adhesion, clean the jar with rubbing alcohol before applying the label.
