Simple and Effective Homemade Stainless Steel Polish
If you’re looking for a quick and easy way to keep your stainless steel appliances looking pristine, you’re in the right place! This incredible homemade stainless steel polish can be prepared in just about one minute using only three common ingredients that you likely already have in your kitchen. It’s a natural, non-toxic cleaner that effectively tackles fingerprints, smudges, streaks, dirt, and grime without the need for any strenuous scrubbing.
I personally use this polish on all my stainless steel surfaces, including my refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven, and much more. How to Create Your Own Homemade Stainless Steel Polish
Step 1: Add Olive Oil
Using a funnel, pour 1/2 cup of olive oil into an 8 oz or larger spray bottle. Make sure to choose a spray bottle that is safe for essential oils. Here are a few of my favorite options: glass, stainless steel, or specific types of plastic (PET #1 or HDPE #2).
Tip: There’s no need to use your premium cooking olive oil for this; any kind will work just fine!
Step 2: Incorporate White Vinegar
Next, add 1/2 cup of white vinegar to the bottle. This ingredient helps to cut through grime and adds a natural shine.
Step 3: Add Essential Oils
Now, it’s time to add a touch of fragrance! Add 20 drops of essential oil of your choice. My favorite combination is 10 drops of lemon essential oil paired with 10 drops of sweet or wild orange essential oil.
Tip: Feel free to substitute with other essential oils if you prefer. Citrus oils are particularly effective as they help to dissolve dirt, grease, and grime, making your stainless steel appliances sparkle. Consider using oils like grapefruit, lime, bergamot, tangerine, petitgrain, and mandarin.
Step 4 (Optional): Create a Printable Label
